Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of RunZones (runzones.com), a running analytics and coaching platform operated by its founder, Stephen Scullion. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use RunZones.
The service
RunZones connects to your training data, calculates your zones, analyses your fitness and fatigue, predicts race performance and generates training guidance and plans. A free tier provides the dashboard, your activities, your last 12 weeks of analysis and a foundation plan. A paid tier, RunZones Coaching, unlocks full-history analysis, race analysis and build-up comparison, training recipes, goal-specific plans, your full fitness profile and readiness tracking.
Accounts & eligibility
You must provide a valid email address and be at least 18 years old to hold a paid subscription (and at least 16 to use the service). Sign-in is passwordless via a magic link sent to your email — keep access to your email account secure, as it controls access to RunZones. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Subscription & billing
- RunZones Coaching costs £13.99/month, billed as a recurring subscription through Stripe.
- Your subscription auto-renews each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Card payments are handled securely by Stripe. RunZones does not store your card details.
Refunds and cancellation are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:
- upload data you are not entitled to, or connect an account that is not yours;
- attempt to access other users’ data or disrupt the service;
- reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the service or its outputs; or
- use RunZones for any unlawful purpose.
Third-party integrations
RunZones can import data from third-party services such as Strava, Garmin and COROS (via Terra) when you authorise the connection. You are responsible for complying with those providers’ own terms. RunZones is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Strava, Garmin, COROS or any other third party named in the app.
Not medical advice
RunZones provides training analytics and guidance, not medical advice. The analysis, zones, predictions and plans are informational and are not a substitute for professional medical judgement. Consult a physician before starting or changing a training programme, and stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness or other warning signs. You train at your own risk.
Intellectual property
The RunZones software, design, models and content are owned by RunZones and its founder. Your training data remains yours. By using the service you grant us the permission needed to process your data in order to provide the features you use.
Warranty disclaimer
RunZones is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that analysis, predictions or plans will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will produce any particular training or race outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunZones and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Changes to the service, terms or price
We may update the service and these Terms over time. If we change the subscription price or make material changes to these Terms, we will give you reasonable advance notice (for example by email) before they take effect, so you can cancel if you do not agree.
Termination
You can stop using RunZones and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that harms it or other users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.
